Ekklesia is a gospel-centered church that is all about Jesus. Our mission is to makes disciples, loves cities, and plants churches in the name of Jesus.
Please visit www.EkklesiaMuskogee.org for more information ABOUT EKKLESIA MUSKOGEE: We are a gospel-centered local church that is focussed on reaching the lost and discipling the saved in the gospel. The gospel is the good news that Jesus has come and succeeded where we've failed, to bring us back to God. Jesus, in his life, death, and resurrection, secured eternal joy for all who would come to believe in him. The gospel is not advice on how to live your life, it's news about how life comes from and through Jesus and what He has done. WHAT IS A LOCAL CHURCH? The local church is a community of regenerated believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. In obedience to the Bible they organize under qualified leadership, gather regularly for preaching and worship, observe the biblical sacraments of baptism and Communion, are unified by the Holy Spirit, are disciplined for holiness, and scatter to fulfill the Great Commandment (to love God and man) and the Great Commission (to make disciples of all nations) as missionaries to the world for God’s glory and their joy. MISSION: Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus, love cities, and plant churches that love Jesus. WORSHIP GATHERINGS: We gather for gospel-centered worship every Sunday morning at 11am. The gathering is focussed on the gospel- the finished work of Jesus Christ. We worship through preaching the Bible, singing praises, taking communion, and the giving of our finances in response to the love and grace shown to us in Jesus. STARTING FEBRUARY 26th we will be gathering at the Muskogee Civic Center located at 425 West Broadway, Muskogee, OK 74403. COMMUNITY GROUPS: We gather in peoples homes and apartments throughout the week for gospel-centered Community Groups. Community Groups are smaller gatherings of the church that focus on praying for one another and the world, sharing meals with one another, discussing scripture together, helping call each other to repentance, encouraging one another in the gospel, and living life together on mission for Jesus. We have Community Groups on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in both Muskogee and Tulsa, OK. We would love to get you plugged in. Please email [email protected] if you would like to get involved in a Community Group.

God has always saved the same way—through faith in Jesus.
"Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness." - Paul, in Romans 4:4-5
ROMANS 4:1-12 1 What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. 5 And to the one who does not work but believes in[d] him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; 8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.” 9 Is this blessing then only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? For we say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness. 10 How then was it counted to him? Was it before or after he had been circumcised? It was not after, but before he was circumcised. 11 He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well, 12 and to make him the father of the circumcised who are not merely circumcised but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised. What does Paul mean by "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" in Romans 3:23?
21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. 26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Your life is, I think, saying one of three things. Is it 1) Aren't I great? 2) Aren't we great? or 3) Isn't Jesus great?
Romans 1:16-17 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” English Standard Version (ESV) The Holy Bible, English Standard Version. Romans 1:18-23 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Martin Luther said the book of Romans is “the greatest letter ever written.” Why would he say that? The Apostle Paul writes to the 1st century church at Rome, as well as to us today, about the depths of God’s holiness, man’s sinfulness, Jesus’ sufficient work to save, and God’s salvation given to sinners, free of charge. The book of Romans is the high point of all of Scripture, teaching most clearly who God is in sovereignty, what God requires in his holiness, and what God provides in his grace toward His people. This letter answers with great detail questions like why do we need the gospel? what is the gospel? how deep is the gospel? and then beautifully finishes with how then should we live? Come and study the greatest letter ever written.
ROMANS 1:1-4 1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, 2 which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, 3 concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh 4 and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, English Standard Version (ESV) The Holy Bible, English Standard Version.
